This is the next item on my "Swimming Pool" wish list. The pool gathers a fair amount of pollen, leaves and insects, most of which float on the surface for a day of so before sinking to the bottom where they are collected by the Barracuda Captura Plus pool robot, (electric vacuum cleaner).

Pool: Barracuda Captura Plus
I am very impressed with my robot pool cleaner which I’ve had for a month or so and which does a great job cleaning the pool. I’ve had a number of different pool filters and pool cleaners, but but this is by far the best. It is electric, and has a management Consul which sits… Continue reading Pool: Barracuda Captura Plus
Solving the Dust Problem
Our home has a lot of dust, in plain speak it’s a dusty home and I plan to free it from dust. It’s time to identify where the dust… Continue reading Solving the Dust Problem

The current regulations allow the blocks in… Continue reading Resting in the Promise

Small Cabin Roofing
I’ve spent a fair amount of time money and effort building our cabin in the garden during the COVID 19 lockdown and having reached the point of having to hang up the roof. I had to make a design decision. Do I go with the Tradition Australian Tin Roof (I’m partial to time tested… Continue reading Small Cabin Roofing
Small Cabin Framework
Framing is a large part of of building a cabin, it’s also very time consuming. The main thing I learned is to build each side of the cabin on the ground first and then lift them up into place. You will see in the photos that I partially complete each side and then lifted them… Continue reading Small Cabin Framework
Havilah House Spaces
Continuing my thoughts about Havilah House, I have this notion that it would be wonderful to have a few cabins as well as an outside kitchen and shower and a long drop toilet, not literally but in appearance, and connected to the septic tank system. The Outdoor Shower This is something I have often wished… Continue reading Havilah House Spaces
