Use a jackhammer if you must but by which ever means possible plant trees, shrubs, vines, flowers grasses and plant them everywhere and anywhere.
If you are have rocky soil, then use a jackhammer to dig the holes but whatever you do plant and grow because it’s one God way of providing plenty resources to to you.
Plant here, there and everywhere, use clay pots, metal pots, buckets, bathtubs, sacks, plant in trees, on walls, fences on roofs, hanging baskets
If there is limited water design and use a water reticulation system to get get the water to the plant by whichever means possible.
The point is you pant trees even if you have very rocky soil and even you need to use a jackhammer to plant a flower.
